Men’s basketball repeats as Hall of Fame champions

Holding off the 2013 NCCAA National Champions, Ohio Christian University, to get to the championship round of the Ness Brothers Hall of Fame, the Foresters pulled out a narrow 75-68 win against Asbury University Nov. 15 to defend their title.

Sophomore guard Derek Hinen has quickly assumed a key leadership role on the men’s basketball team. After capturing a starting spot during his freshman year and contributing nearly 13 points per night, Hinen had already made a name for himself at HU as a consistent scorer prior to the season’s start.
