BRIEF: Forester Lecturer to discuss sex slavery tonight

By Alex Pollock

Perry

Producer Morgan Perry will share her thoughts on modern day slavery tonight at 7 p.m. in Zurcher Auditorium in the Merillat Centre for the Arts.

Perry, who helped make the movie “Sex+Money: A National Search for Human Worth,” will be addressing the issue of the modern day slave trade.

Perry first experienced the horrors of modern day sex slavery while on a mission trip in Thailand.

“I understand exactly what ‘trafficking’ means and can recognize it’s evil presence all over the world,” said Perry. “Discovering how much takes place right here on American soil is what changed my life.”

Perry will show parts of the movie and discuss ideas on how to bring the modern day sex industry out of the shadows such as “giving your time, money, and talent.”
