Student Senate will host its annual Christmas party Dec. 4. The Student Activities Board, Multicultural Activities Board and Joe Mertz Center are also involved in planning this event which will have many activities including caroling and storytelling.

Although this is an annual event, junior senator at large Nate Sullivan sees this as a unique year.

“Every year is different,” he said. “This year we have some pretty cool things planned.”

Other events include an ugly sweater competition, cookie decorating and ornament making. There will also be a gingerbread house making contest.

The party will start at 8:30 p.m. and will begin outside of Becker Hall with Dr. Luke Fetters reading the Christmas story. After the story reading, the party will relocate to the HUB for other activities.

“I’m really excited to hear Dr. Fetters’ reading of the Christmas story and his talk about that,” Freshman senate representative Luke McConnell said.

Hot chocolate will also be served, and the Treblemakers will perform at the event.

Sophomore representative Grace Green is looking forward to hosting the event.

“It will just be an all around good Christmas time,” she said.
